Based in both NYC and Fukuoka, Japan, Kettl tea is the authority on Matcha and Japanese teas. Kettl has the backing of over 36 Michelin starred chefs including Thomas Keller, Jean Georges, David Bouley, Eiji Icihimura & Daisuke Nakazawa. As Kettl continues to grow, the brand needs a close-knit creative partner to conduct consistency across platforms.
In my role at the studio, I've had the privilege of supporting our collaboration with Kettl since 2018, where our focus has been on crafting a cohesive brand narrative expressed through visual elements. As part of this partnership, I've worked closely with my director in the creation of brand assets and deliverables, including menu boards, takeaway hot and cold beverage cups, and packaging for matcha chocolate bars and tea puddings.
Additionally, I've been fortunate to leverage my limited sign painting experience to contribute to the storefront signage, under the guidance and encouragement of my director. This hands-on involvement has enriched my understanding of the brand's aesthetic and allowed me to play a meaningful role in its visual representation.
